Red Obsidian Heart

Obsidian is a powerful grounding stone, giving strength to the owner and provide protection from those that wish to harm as well as negative energy. It is also used in times of need to remove energy blocks and give new life to purposes and goals. It is also considered useful to those suffering depression or addiction.  Red (or mahogany) obsidian in particular, is said to facilitate personal growth,   increase sensuality and sexuality and a great meditation tool for helping with re-connection.
Obsidian reminds us that birth and death are simultaneous and always present and associated with the spirits that watch over us. People throughout history drew on that protective power in the weaponry they made from obsidian.
