Black Drawing Salve
The use of drawing salves is as old as time. Certain plants and other natural materials are used to physically "draw" things out of the body.
However the salves you find in the market today contain ingredients that can cause damage to the skin.
This formulation takes us back in time of herbal medicine and contains only natural ingredients. It can be used for splinters or other small foreign objects in the skin , bug bites and can also aid in relieving minor skin irritations.
Use:
Place at least a pea size amount (more if needed) on affected area and loosely cover with a bandage or guaze for at least 12 hours. Product can stain fabric so be mindfuly of that.
If using for splinters or other foreign objects, check after 12 hours to see if it is now close enough to the surface to remove with tweezers. If not reapply and cover for another 6-8 hours. Deep splinters may take longer
If using for tick or other insect bites to remove toxins and provide relief leave salve on for 24 hours. Then remove and clean the area.
